Having flown my Chameleon for nearly a year now I must confess that I really really like it's flight characteristic and performance. Having said that, I built a new race drone consisting of a Chameleon TI frame from Armattan. I've also documented how I built this drone in a small build log.
These are the parts I used in this Chameleon TI build:
- OmniNXT F7 Flight Controller 32khz
- Typhoon32 V2.2 4in1 BLHeli_32 35A 2-6S ESC
- 4x EMAX LS2207 Lite Spec 2207 2400KV Brushless Motor
- Armattan Chameleon TI 5" Frame
- 4x Realacc M3*7+4.5 Flight Controller Anti-Vibration Fixed Screws
- 2 Pairs Dalprop T5046 Cyclone 5" 3 Blade Propeller
- RunCam Micro Eagle 1/1.8" CMOS 800TVL WDR 16:9/4:3 Switchable FPV Camera
- 2 Micro Camera Mount Bracket for RunCam Micro Eagle
- AKK X2-ultimate VTx
- UFOFPV 5.8G LHCP RX/TX FPV Pagoda Antenna
- FrSky R-XSR SBUS 16CH Mini Redundancy Receiver (1.5g)
- GOPRO Hero 5 Session
- Panasonic TP RADIAL Alu Kondensator 2000μF Low-ESR
The links in the list above for the flight control and BLC point to a german shop. I would propose to buy the flight controller and BLC from a respectable shop in Europe to make sure they are built with a certain amount of quality control.
Besides the drone build these are some of the accessories I've used with it:
- iSDT SC-620 500W 20A MINI Smart LCD Battery Balance Charger
- Eachine VR D2 Pro 5 Inches 800*480 40CH 5.8G Diversity FPV Goggles
- 4x FPVRacing 1350mAh 5S 95C LiPo Battery (XT60)
- 4x Tattu 1300mAh 6S 95C LiPo Battery (XT60)
Here you can see one of the first flights with the new rig:
